There have been many misconceptions about the Word of God. For years, Scripture has been misunderstood and misused to serve personal agendas or justify lifestyles. This should not be so. When reading God’s Word, we must handle it correctly and with reverence.
It is easy to select verses and make them say what we want. But we will give an account for how we handle the truth. The Bible says what it says for a reason. It is dangerous to add to it or take away from it. Study carefully. Seek understanding through the Holy Spirit before speaking or teaching.
If we discover we have been wrong, we must correct it. Humble yourself before the Lord. Take accountability and make it right with those you may have misled. Integrity requires correction.
The Word of God is holy. It is meant to correct, exhort, and edify, not to bully or harm. There is a right way to use it. Let us commit to doing it God’s way so we may flourish in Christ.
