Pink Out Bingo to Raise Awareness and Support Local Cancer Patients

Pink Out Bingo, hosted by Townsquare Media Victoria and presented by DeTar Healthcare System, will bring the community together to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, honor local survivors and raise funds for cancer patients and their families through Crossroads Guardians of Hope. The event will take place Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 5 to 9 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church, 506 N. Main St. Doors open at 5 p.m., with bingo beginning at 6:15 p.m.

Guests can enjoy eight bingo games featuring prizes such as $100 gift cards to local businesses and restaurants. The evening will also include a silent auction, food from Sweet Fountainz, teas from H2O Tea and drinks from 5D Tavern. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink, while tables and bingo dabbers will be provided.

Beyond the entertainment, the event aims to promote breast cancer awareness and emphasize the importance of regular mammograms and early detection. Local breast cancer survivors will be recognized for their strength and resilience, while Crossroads Guardians of Hope will showcase its signature pink fire truck and vehicles. The nonprofit provides financial assistance to qualifying cancer patients undergoing treatment in the Crossroads region.

All proceeds will benefit Crossroads Guardians of Hope, helping ease the financial burden faced by local patients and their families. Representatives from Townsquare Media Victoria and DeTar Healthcare System emphasized the importance of community support, noting that the event offers an opportunity to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones and make a meaningful difference for families affected by cancer.

Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door, with presale tickets available at First State Bank. Tables of eight are available for $500, and sponsorship opportunities are open to interested businesses and organizations. For tickets or additional information, call 573-0777. DeTar Healthcare System is the presenting sponsor of the event.
