The Victoria Main Street Program is inviting residents to step up and get involved in shaping the future of downtown Victoria.
The volunteer board is currently seeking two new members, with applications open through Feb. 13. The board oversees the nonprofit Victoria Main Street Program and plays a key role in supporting downtown beautification efforts, fundraising initiatives, event coordination, and a variety of volunteer driven projects.
Board members include community volunteers along with nonvoting City staff, creating a collaborative space focused on strengthening the heart of the city. Meetings are held at noon on the third Wednesday of each month at the Victoria Public Library, located at 302 N. Main St.
Those interested can apply online at www.growingvictoriatx.com
. Appointments will fill two unexpired terms that run through September 2026. Residents who live, work, or own businesses in the downtown area are especially encouraged to apply.
The board will review applications and vote on the new members during its Feb. 18 meeting.

The Main Street Program board recently gathered for a photo in front of a vibrant downtown mural honoring Victoria founder Martín de León. The mosaic style artwork was created by local artist Clinton Edwards and installed at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts in September 2025, serving as a colorful reminder of the community spirit the board works to promote.
